Spring in the Sunroom

I love to decorate my favorite room for each season and this one is no exception. Here’s how I have added Spring in the Sunroom.

If you’ve been to my blog before, then you know that I often get the itch to switch.

I love to rearrange rooms and play around with configurations.

So I thought I would try something new for the favorite room in my house, the sunroom.

Here’s how I refreshed this space for Spring.

Spring in the Sunroom

(Some affiliate links are provided below. Full disclosure here.)

I started by taking out our larger sofa and just leaving this loveseat. It’s the Ektorp from Ikea with a white cover.

Over the sofa, I added a tobacco basket, one of the things I love to decorate with. It reminds me of growing up in Kentucky.

In the tobacco basket, I added my updated wreath that I made from a new garland that I got.

When I replaced the two armchairs in my living room, I needed a place for my two armchairs.

So when that large sofa was moved out, this room was a perfect spot for them!

I love how the light pours into this room!

The chairs look beautiful flanking the couch.

When we updated the living room, we moved a piece of furniture from the sunroom under our TV, so that left an empty wall.

So I added these two mirrors stacked on top of each other.

It also serves a purpose. Our living is naturally dark, so these mirrors help reflect the light into that room.

The only other swap I made was adding a metal side table to one of the arm chairs.

Add a few touches of Spring decor and it’s refreshed!

I love coming out here and sitting out here and starting my day in the word.

It’s a perfect way to begin my day with a fresh cup of coffee.

So, tell me – do you like to swap rooms around?

This room was updated with things we already owned, making this a super budget friendly refresh.

I hope this inspired you to rethink your space using what you have around your home!

  1. Hi Kim – thanks for your kind words. We love our Ektorp sofas. We’ve had them for about 6 years now and they are still comfy. Plus I love that the covers can be washed. This fall, my oldest is taking our couch to college with him, so hopefully it will hold up to rowdy college boys!

  2. This is so refreshing! Thank you for sharing. On a side note..how happy are you with the Ektorp sofa and loveseat. Have they held up well and retained their shape? I’m thinking about purchasing them an would appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

  3. Looks beautiful Jen. I always love seeing how you incorporate pieces of family history (old and new) throughout your home. Can’t wait to sit in that room with you with a cup of our favorite beverage. COFFEE of course!!
