Christmas in the Sunroom

I have decorated my favorite room in the house for the holidays and I am thrilled with the results! I hope you enjoy Christmas in the Sunroom.

Now I have to tell you – I have been looking forward to decorating for Christmas for week now and I am oh-so-excited to be sharing the first room with you!

Typically, I am all about the neutral decor, but this year I went all in on the red.

And nothing says Christmas better than red and green.

It’s cozy, classic and gives me all the feels.

Here are all the fun details!

When we made over this sunroom a year ago, it became my favorite room in my home.

I know, I say that about every room, but of my favorites – this is my favorite!

So I started with the Christmas tree.

I placed my King of Christmas tree in the corner where I can see it from my kitchen and living room.

I love this tree! It is a 7.5 foot unlit tree and this is my 3 year using it and it still looks amazing!

I found this cable knit ribbon from Michaels and fell in love with the bright red color.

Because I love to knit, this screams cozy to me!

In fact, I made some DIY ornaments this year.

I found some red chunky knit yarn and hot glued it to a styrofoam balls to create a fun ornament.

They are super easy to make – so maybe I’ll post a tutorial on how to do it! 😉

Under the tree, I used fun colored ribbons and paper to wrap the presents.

The rest of the tree is filled with red ornaments and hints of green here and there.

Nothing too fancy – I want this to feel comfy and cozy.

In order to fit the tree in this room for Christmas in the Sunroom, I had to temporarily move the loveseat out.

So I placed this armchair in it’s place and love sitting next to it at night when the lights are twinkly!

Isn’t that cable knit pillow the cutest? I found a pair at Aldi recently, but have also seen loads of them on Amazon and at the big box craft stores.

It ties in with the cable knit garland perfectly, doncha think?

I put the other cable knit pillow on the sofa, which we moved to the other side of the room for the season.

So that way you can sit and have full view of the Christmas tree!

Behind the sofa, I placed two smaller flocked trees and added miniature ornaments to tie it in with the big Christmas tree.

In the enamel bowl, I placed some greenery and some more of those yarn-covered styrofoam balls.

It’s perfectly cozy!

On the wall opposite the chair, I moved my tiny hutch that holds one of my favorite collectibles – miniature creamers.

Isn’t that tin Santa the cutest? My mother in law gave me these for my birthday from a local Birmingham boutique. Just so darling!

And those fur wrapped cone trees are a DIY I made a few years back, but just updated them by adding red yarn to the base.
