I started with simple placemats.
I’ve had these round hyacinth placemats for years and they still are my go to when creating an easy table setting.
They are light colored and that woven texture is perfect for Summer styling!
Next I added some fun white plates with a beaded rim and some simple white cloth napkins.
Next I added some affordable water goblets to the tablescape.
Now here’s a trick.
The last thing I added was a simple centerpiece.
I found this vase while thrifting a few years ago and I use it quite often.
You can find similar vases here and here.
I filled it with some faux soft touch tulips and called it done!

More Easy Tablescape Tips and Tricks
- Don’t set out silverware – Instead, set them next to the food you are serving. It keeps everything looking clean and simple on the table.
- Serve the food buffet style – I learned this after marrying into a very large family. This allows your guests to pick and choose what they want on their plate instead of feeling obligated to take food when it’s passed around the table.
- Add something simple to the plate – This is a great seasonal tip. For summer, a colorful dessert bowl would add a bit of fun.
- Set up a beverage station – Again, allow your guests to get their own beverage by setting out a variety of options near the food and silverware.
I hope this helps you out if you find yourself in a pickle for a dinner with company.
