You Are Not Alone

For those needing hope this holiday season, this performance video can encourage you to know that you are not alone.

The holiday season can be filled with hope and joy for us all.

But I also know that it can be a time of pain and sorrows with the challenges that life gives us.

You Are Not Alone

I had the honor and privilege to sing in my church’s Christmas concert this season.

It blessed me immensely and reminded me of the sweet promises that we are never alone.

My favorite part were the videos.

If you find yourself struggling this holiday season, I invite you to watch our concert and hold tightly to these promises that God is with us always:

  • He will neither fail you nor abandon you (Deut 31:6)
  • The Lord will personally go ahead of you (Deut 31:8)
  • I will be with you (Josh 1:5)
  • For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Josh 1:9)
  • He will not leave you or forsake you (1 Chron 28:20)
  • He will not abandon His special possession (Ps 94:14)
  • Don’t be afraid, for I am with you (Is 41:10)
  • I am with you always, to the end of the age (Matt 28:20)
  • The Lord will hold me close (Ps 27:10)
  • I will not leave you (John 14:18)

For behold Darkness covers the earth. In total darkness – its people. Do you feel it? Things are not as they should be. Everywhere you look, reminders of what we’ve lost.

Our joy, our peace. Fleeting memories snuffed out by shame, grief and pain. Our world is broken. When you look around, what do you expect to see?

You hope for light and behold darkness. You know the truth but the fear is overwhelming. Pain unrelenting.

Has he forgotten? How is the Lord using this for good?

God’s covenant people are so often made to wait in suffering through the wilderness for a promised deliverance. Can you truly hope for a future while you cling to the Past? Or does the waiting of the past illuminate the gift to dwell in darkness so that the light shines brighter?

In His power, only He can save. In His wisdom, He pursues us even as we war against him.

Seek the Lord while he may be found. We are witness to devastation and slaves to our sins.

Still the Voice commands you, “Cry out.”

Would a Creator be so meticulous as to hang each star in its place, yet leave His most precious creation lost in its own futility?

In His compassion, the Creator who stretched out the heavens and sits on His throne above the Earth is creating something new.

“Comfort, comfort my people,” says the Lord and announced to Jerusalem that her inequities are paid. She has received from the Lord’s hand double for her sins. In the deepest darkness the ache of our longing is met with the promise of hope. Emmanuel Prince of Peace descended to carry our sorrow and live as our light. Do you feel it? He is near.

We are so thankful for you.

You bless us with your time reading each post and we are grateful for the time you take to leave comments and to interact each week, whether here on NotingGrace.com or through our social media channels.
