Tearing Down Walls – Our Start to the New Year
Sharing my favorite posts from the week along with a few friends for this Welcome Home Saturday decor digest as well as an update on our craft room. We are tearing down the walls and it feels so good!
My house is complete shambles.
Truly – I would turn any visitor away with my home in it’s current state.
But – we have a door!!

New Projects
We are tearing down walls, folks!
And it feels so good to get back into project mode.
We’re creating an opening to move an interior door to allow easier access to our craft room. You can see our Instagram reel and all our silliness that our projects have.
I’m eager to get started on making over our kitchenette, but this was a must do first.
And I’m continuing my slow purge of home decor, but it’s a bit more difficult than I thought.
I’m not sure how much longer I will be able to handle my house in complete disarray, so that is helping in which items to keep and let go of.
Happenings at Home
I know it’s just the second week of January, but this was the first week we got back into our regular routine.
Lots of busyness for the start of this year.
Our youngest is participating in two musical events on back to back weekends. Luckily they are local and it’s always a joy seeing him do what he loves.
And our oldest boy is back at college, but forgot one thing, so we’ll be spending our Monday traveling down to drop it off to him. It will be interesting to see how his apartment is faring!
Favorites from the Week
Every week, I love to share a few favorites I’ve stumbled upon.
My friend, Leslie, from My 100 Year Old Home has such a beautiful home. I loved her post on how to add winter farmhouse decor to your living room.
I just stumbled upon the Marie Kondo collection at the Container Store and I am loving her organizational containers!
Welcome Home Saturday
with Dabbling and Decorating
We are so excited that Ann is joining us again this week. I have been on many blog hops with her and I just love her style.
Ann is a fellow thrifting gal and she has some amazing tips on what to do with her finds. Like this one on how to repurpose vintage windows.

And she shares lots of cozy ideas for your home.
Here’s how she makes her open floor plan feel intimate and personal.

So scroll down to see her Valentine inspired table setting as well as what the rest of my friends have been doing this week!
