Simple Summer Farmhouse Porch
Sitting in a rocking chair sippin’ on sweet tea and hearing the birds sing – does it get any better than that? Here’s how to style a Simple Summer Farmhouse Porch for you to enjoy all season long.

Today, we are taking tours of our Summer Porches so welcome to Noting Grace! My name is Jen and I love to renew, create and decorate my home on a budget all while finding beauty in the blemishes. You can tour my Almost Farmhouse here, or to learn more about me and my family, you can visit here.
Since we have been slowly transforming the exterior of our home these past few months, I am so excited to share with you our progress. When we took on the task of limewashing the exterior of our brick home, I knew the task was daunting, but I wasn’t prepared for the amazing results we’ve had!
Our porch just a few months ago is a sad comparison to what it is today. Since the limewash is the star, I wanted to keep things on the minimalistic side when it came to styling it for this season. So here’s how you can create a Simple Summer Farmhouse Porch you can easily style yourself!
Simple Summer Farmhouse Porch

Just look at how my DIY Glass Front door pops! So, when I planned on updating our front door, I knew the black would be a great neutral choice, but now it pops against the gray hued brick.
I framed each side of the door with planters and faux ferns that I had set out earlier this year. The only change I made here was swapping out my wreath.

Because I wanted this look to be simple, I hung a grapevine wreath with artificial boxwood hot glued to it.
Also, I added a small chalkboard to compliment the black accents.

I replaced the globes of my old exterior lights with these vintage Mason Jars and love how they bring that farmhouse charm to my front porch.

Seems like these resin gliders are my very favorite.
Now they are a focal point of my porch, beckoning me to shirk off my to do list of the day and sit and relax.

Adding a few cushions certainly cozies up the spot.

On the other side of my gliders sits a simple 3 piece bistro set that I found from a buy/sell/trade listing.

A simple arrangement of hydrangeas in a weathered wooden planter top the table. The birdhouse is left over from my Spring porch decor.
I could barely snap pics of this without the momma bird and it’s baby occupants letting me know that I wasn’t welcome!

So styling a front porch doesn’t take a lot of effort. Above all, you want your guests to feel welcome and sometimes simpler is better.

Well it’s a good thing we don’t live closet to each other or that you’ve never invited me over… I’d never leave that porch. I adore it. Actually, I love the entire yard! So pretty.
Your porch is so pretty Jen! I can’t believe those chairs are glider chairs, that is so cool. Don’t even get me started on those classic urns or the lush ferns either. They are completely fabulous. I love it all. Hugs, CoCo
Your porch is summer perfection!! So pretty!
Love your welcoming porch! So pretty!
What a beautiful and welcoming space! LOVE the muted colours and how peaceful it feels!
Your porch is so pretty! Those gliders have me swooning! I would love to have those for our porch too. We have resin wicker on our back patio…we’ve had it for 5 or 6 years and it still looks like new. Love them!
I really like all the black touches you have on your porch.
