DreamCloud Mattress Update After 2 Years

I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since we replaced our old mattress. Here’s our honest review of our DreamCloud Mattress – update after 2 years!

How important would you consider a mattress purchase to be?

My brother’s buddy worked for a top-of-the-line mattress company and told him a statement that stuck with me.

Your mattress is the one piece of furniture that you will use the most day in and day out.

So when we started researching new mattresses 2 years ago, I made sure to do my homework, read the company’s warranties and return policies, as well as pour over the reviews.

And that’s why we landed on the DreamCloud Mattress.

How has it held up over the past 2 years, including a state to state move?

I’m spilling all the details today!

First off, let’s back track and find out why we chose DreamCloud.

I wanted a mattress with coils and I loved that they offered the same foam topping, but with coils underneath.

I loved that they offer a risk free, 365 night trial. So if we hated it on day 364 – they would accept the return!

Plus – there is a lifetime warranty that comes with the mattress – so it was a no brainer for us.

Issues and Concerns We Had

It wouldn’t be an honest review if we didn’t share the whole story.

We have had three issues that we needed to address. Two were eliminated right away and the one isn’t a big deal for us.

There was a brief time when Trent was questioning the bed.

He was losing sleep and waking up tired and achy.

After a visit to the Doctor – he was sent to a sleep study and found out he had sleep apnea. So, once he addressed that issue, the sleep issues went away.

It ended up not being the mattress at all!

In our original post, we shared that we didn’t like the mattress when we went to sit on the edge. We felt as if we would slip off easily.

That is still true but we haven’t missed sitting on the edge of the bed.

And lastly, the only other hurdle we had was getting new sheets.

This bed is lofty and you definitely need deep pocket sheets to fit around the mattress. I found these sheets online and LOVE how soft they feel – plus they are super affordable!

So the three itty bitty issues we had really amounted to nothing.

So how has it held up?

Well, we moved from Tennessee to Alabama, and any move taxes a mattress.

And we are wrapping up renovating our master bedroom, so the mattress has been flipped up on its end multiple times over the past few weeks.

Yet, despite all of that, it still feels like it does when we first got it!

Last month, Trent traveled out of town with our son for a music competition as was gone for 3 nights of sleep.

When he got home and climbed into bed that night – there was a HUGE sigh coming from his side of the bed.

It is still the best thing to crawl into at night!

Should you Buy a DreamCloud Mattress?

Buying a mattress online is scary – I get it!

We felt the same way you did when we made this decision 2 years ago.

But many times throughout the year, you can score some amazing deals on mattresses – especially online!

So whether you go with Dreamcloud or other online mattress purchases, take your time, do your homework, and read each and every review.

I hope this helps you if you’ve been on the fence about your mattress purchase.

I wanted to share this Dreamcloud mattress update after 2 years of sleeping on it because we still love it so much!

  1. Hey Deb – so sorry to hear you didn’t like the mattress. If it were me, I would have taken advantage of their return policy. They offer a 365 night risk free trial where you can return it – which was a huge selling point for us. I’d reach out to them and see if they would honor it. I know you mentioned a year and a half, but it’s worth the try!

  4. We just received our Dreamvloud mattress and got it set up…

  5. Hey Sweet Kay! Thank you for taking the time to comment, my friend!

The magic number recommended for mattress replacement is 10 years, but I think that is up to personal preference. We had a mattress that lasted 15 years wonderfully. However, I have a friend who’s mattress didn’t last 5 years.

But would I replace my mattress with another DreamCloud? Oh yes! It’s the perfect fit for us!

  6. How often should you replace your mattress? Would you replace your Dream Cloud with another Dream Cloud?
