Hooray for October!

It’s my favorite month of the year – and for many reasons!

It’s my birthday month – so it’s always been a celebration.

And then, my sweet husband and I shared our first kiss on my birthday- best present ever!

So October has a special space in my heart.

I thought it would be fun to show my front porch this year.

I went wild with mums and heirloom pumpkins and just love how it turned out.

Earlier this year, we upgraded our front porch by installing this herringbone brick paver pattern and doing a mortar wash over the steps. Click that link to see the full tutorial.

We just love how it turned out!

I think it looks great with our limewashed house. We used Romabio Paints Classico Limewash in Avorio White with a very slight distressing.

Our front door is also painted with Romabio Paints Interior/Exterior in Misty Eyed – a perfect neutral hue for this house and the inspiration point for my pumpkins.

I started with this wreath I made last year.

It is a cotton and eucalyptus garland that I wrapped around an embroidery hoop to create a quick and easy DIY wreath.

This year, I added a few sprigs of faux green leaves that matched the heirloom pumpkins.

I always get my heirloom pumpkins from Trader Joe’s since they always have a great selection and at an affordable price.

The dark green bumpy ones are super fun!

Pairing them with some white pumpkins and mums really created the contrast I was hoping for.

But for some reason, white mums were elusive to me this year.

I had to go to 5 different stores to finally find some.

They aren’t in the best shape, but at least I got the color I had hoped for.

So there you have it!

A quick and easy fall styling.

I hope this decorating a porch with heirloom pumpkins and mums tutorial inspired you to add some fall flair to your porch this year!
