So this past Christmas, the one thing our boys wanted was a game room – a teen man space where they could hang.

We gave them our old couches and TV, but that meant we had to make a few new purchases for our family room.

While it was a great decision we made, that large of a purchase also monopolized my decor budget.

Of course, that’s how life happens, isn’t it?

But a tight budget shouldn’t stop you from creating the look you want for the season!

By shopping from my home, and pulling last year’s decor from the closet, I was able to surround myself with touches of Spring decor. Here’s how I did it.

Our new couches are so nice and comfy. We got them from a local furniture store, but they are made by Ashley and called Lanier Alloy.

We opted for two sofas instead of a sofa/loveseat combo since our room allows the space for both.

One particularly awesome thing about the new wifi TV is that we weren’t tethered to the internet input.

So that means I can change the layout of my room which I love to do quite often!

I paired it with some hydrangeas – my favorite flower – to contrast with the metal. Placing them in a few stacked wooden boxes softens the area just perfectly.

I gathered a few items in a round willow basket tray for my DIY grain sack striped ottoman. This planter and greenery are some new additions this year – all at 50% off!

Now that fire season is officially over, I placed my tobacco basket back as a DIY fireplace screen.

Can you believe these ferns are fakers? I had a few leftover from my silk plant review for my front porch planters, and thought they would look great on my mantel.

The colors just sing Spring to me! Not to mention the fact that every time I stumble upon a bottle with that gorgeous blue hue, I’m like a moth to flame shouting ‘gimme, gimme, gimme!’
