When we were updating our basement kitchenette, we knew we needed to add some bling to this room. When I spotted this copper sink from Sinkology – I instantly fell in love!

Inspect your old sink! Most likely, your undermount kitchen sink is attached by mounting clips, or silicone adhesive. Maybe you have both!

Disconnect the Plumbing

Once the plumbing is gone, you can start removing the old sink.  This will take some time and tools!

Score the silicone to help remove it.  We also used a putty knife to help pry the sink away from our granite counters.

It took us about 45 minutes to finally remove the sink from the counters. Be careful to not pull away any backing if your counters are made of formica.

Installing the Sink

You want to take caulk gun and carefully apply a bead of silicone caulk around the rim of the sink.

Reconnect the plumbing and enjoy your new sink! Click the link below to read the full tutorial.
