Welcome Home Sunday Week 74

Every Sunday, a group of bloggers gather to share their ideas and inspiration from their homes with you. This is Welcome Home Sunday Week 74.

Sometimes it takes a breaking point to turn things around.

That’s what happened to me this past Thursday night.

It was an issue with my teen, and as most issues go, there is usually hurt on both sides.

And I’ll confess it – my feelings were deeply hurt.

So I went to my bedroom and cried for over an hour.

But something beautiful came out of it.

Not only did my teen and I share a wonderful conversation the next day, mending all that murkiness, but there was a release.

Just like a pressure cooker, I have a tendency to bottle up stress, tension, and emotions until it all blows, whistling away while everyone else runs.

Okay – not so dramatic, but not too far off.

But just like a pressure cooker, once we release that steam, then you open the lid to a feast for your senses.

And that one night of crying did just that for me.

All the built up stress and tension escaped. Worries seems to abate. And my emotions seemed aligned.

I guess a good cry does that. So, even when things are hunky dory in my world, maybe I’ll watch a tear jerker to release that valve just a bit.

Anyway, I hope that helps you today and know you are not alone with your overload.

Now let’s get on to this week’s post.

We are excited to welcome back Julie from My Wee Abode. She always shares such great things and I know you will love what she’s bringing to us this week!
