Welcome Home Sunday Week 69

What a beautiful week it has been!

We have had unexpected cool temps this Spring here in Alabama which has been so lovely!

I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a fan of heat or humidity.

But give me sunshine and a cool breeze and I’m a happy girl!

So I decided to traipse outdoors and tend to my gardens, which have been woefully neglected.

You see, this house we live in used to be a rental and the grass is….well….we trim weeds each week with our mower.

And while they updated the front beds, our backyard only has one shining quality.

Bearded Iris – something that I love! We had them at our Tennessee Home and were some of my favorite landscaping!

But at our Meadow Brook home, they didn’t bloom this Spring so I knew it was time to divide them.

So I went to work, and boy did I learn something!

I’m not as young as I used to be!

But I was a good girl and stopped when my body told me to! This is a lesson I’m learning as I age.

Usually driven to have the project done, I won’t stop and then pay for it later.

Not anymore. I didn’t get the iris divided, but they’ll be there for me next week, and that’s okay!

So instead of getting back out in the yard today, I’m going to sit and enjoy these posts shared by my friends!
