Welcome Home Sunday Week 66

This week was kind of a big deal – filled with lots of ups and downs.

I celebrated my first published feature in a magazine. It was more than just a pic but an entire article about our Meadow Brook Home.

Totally surreal and humbling and I was on cloud nine.

Then I had the joy of FaceTiming with my parents who live 8 hours away and that joy slipped to frustration and sadness.

While it was wonderful to see my parents beautiful faces, it made me sad that this virus robbed us of a trip to visit them.

And then sadness turned to madness.

Anyone else on this emotional struggle bus?

How are you all doing with this “shelter in place”?

But I have to admit, I’ve been starting to feel the uneasies. That itch to switch, or to do something.

Normally I’m a homebody and enjoy being surrounded by those I love, but a bit of the blues are starting to set in.

When this all started, I didn’t think I’d feel this way. Gimme my boys and my man and I’m a happy lady. Home is where those you love live.

But thinking of this Easter Sunday and how the sacrifice He made on Good Friday gives us His abundant grace.

So all the feels hitting hard. Praise, gratitude, unworthiness, love, sadness and concern for the world that God so loved.

And yet, I count it all joy for He has Risen!

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
James 1:2-6
