It’s always fun to look back on your progress you’ve made over time. I hope you enjoy a look back of our 2018 Year in Review.
How can it be that another year has passed us by?
And what a year it has been – quite honestly, one that I may be glad to see end.
It was a tough year for our family, with lots of changes and ups and downs, but we are rejoicing in ending on a high note!
So I’d like to wrap up this season with a year in review. A look back on what projects we did – and it was maybe our biggest year of makeovers yet!
We started the year off with a fun and east DIY – this whimsical ticking stripe wreath.
2018 Year in Review
Then we tackled our scariest DIY ever this year when we cut a hole in our front door! But it ended up with jaw-dropping results!
It created the perfect entryway for our Stairway Makeover.
One room we hadn’t renovated in our Tennessee house were the boys rooms. We decided to make memories with our oldest son by giving his neglected room an Industrial Makeover.
IAfter we wrapped this up project, we headed outside to take on our most grandiose of all makeovers – our brick home. Updating the exterior was a huge undertaking, but the house finally looked like how we wished it to be.
And that’s when our year took a major turn.
My husband lost his job which prompted a move to Birmingham.
All that hard work paid off, and we were able to sell our house that first weekend.
It was tough saying goodbye to our Almost Farmhouse, but we were excited for a new home filled to the brim with DIYs to do!
The dust barely settled after moving in when the renovation wheels started turning!
It didn’t take long for us to dive right in to another project. For the first time, we decided to do a complete bathroom renovation. We knocked out walls, tried tiling for the first time, and loved how it turned out!
We finished up our year with one last DIY – a front door makeover. Using the same numbers from our stairway makeover, we created a statement piece for our home.
What a Year in Review! It’s amazing to look back on what we accomplished in a short amount of time.
So what’s ahead for Noting Grace?
This next year is sure to be filled with lots of projects and we hope you are here to follow along.
We have a brand new house to Limewash, tons of rooms to put our personality in, oodles of spots that need organizing, and possibly another budget friendly kitchen remodel!
So, as we approach the end of the year – one filled with lots of challenges and changes, we are signing off to take some much needed family time for a week.
It will be hard for me to unplug, but we have a rare opportunity of time off of school and work, and there’s nothing more important than taking hold of those moments that matter.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being a loyal reader and offering words of encouragement to us this past year. Each and every comment means so much to me, even more so this year.
Stay tuned for some exciting things in 2019! We can’t wait to share it with all of you!
Merriest of Christmases and Happiest of Holidays from my family to yours!
