Hey you weary momma!

Yeah, you with the mile long to-do list and the never ending chores. I’m right there with you and I found a trick that has changed at least one meal a week for me and my family.

The result is more time for you as well as the oohs and aahs from your family.

So what is it?

This recipe is the easiest tomato soup you’ll ever make!

It’s so easy that I don’t even need to make a recipe card for it! No need for a long grocery list either. Want to know how many ingredients there are? Of course you do!

Only 2.

But how long it take to make?

Just a few minutes.

How can something with so little ingredients be one the most delicious things you put in your mouth? Let me show you!

Earlier this month, we were at a church function where everyone was asked to bring different types of soup to share. There were so many delicious selections to choose from, and most were probably recipes that took all day long to stew.

But there was one rebel that stood out in the crowd, proudly showing off its empty pot.

Creamy, tasty, warm and delicious tomato soup. Of course, all my men in my house made sure to let me know they loved this soup. It tasted like it was made by a professional chef.

Well….it sort of was!

So I had to get the recipe from my friend.

I was told this recipe came from her cousin – a chef! And she told me, “You won’t believe how easy it is!”

And I didn’t!

Those two ingredients are spaghetti sauce and half and half.  That’s it!

Dump 2 jars of your favorite sauce into a pot.

Fill just one of those empty jars with the half and half.

Add that to the sauce.

Heat and stir until warm.

You’re Welcome!

So go ahead.

Try it!

What do you have to lose?

So why does this recipe work?

Because the tomato sauce is already seasoned to perfection.

All you are doing is simply adding an element to make it creamy.

Always remember that it’s a two to one ratio, then you can make as much or as little as you want!

My favorite way to eat this is with a small slice of french bread, but we’ve also served it along side grilled cheese or ham sandwiches.

One extra tip I will share is to maybe sway from your typical sauce.  Since our go-to sauce is a light marinara, the soup came out too watery for our preferences.

So we tried a couple until we found our favorite – a thicker, homestyle spaghetti sauce.
