This past Saturday marked our One Year House anniversary of being in our Tennessee home. Looking back over the year, I can’t believe the transformations we’ve made in just a year, yet I’m still amazed at how much more there is to do! I’ve been seeing the house goals people post around New Years and thought this might be a fun thing to do on our anniversary to see the progress we’ve made.
1. We moved our family 2000 miles across country to be next to family and friends and back to our stomping grounds where Trent and I fell in love. It feels so good to be HOME.
2. We purchased a house that we (almost) LOVE! Well, we love the neighborhood, the part of town we are in, and the fact that we can see the Milky Way from our front porch, but we are working on the house part. Living in the country, a stones throw away from the city, has done wonders for our souls.
3. Most importantly, we are all happy and healthy, finally adjusted from this HUGE move our family made, and we are seeing promising options for the year ahead and eager to finish the work on this house.
Here is what we’ve completed so far.
Family Room, Stairway and Entry
In our Dining Room, we removed the wallpaper and painting the wall and tackled the Dentil Moulding.
Our Farmhouse Kitchen Remodel was the main focus this first year in our home. You can read all about how we transformed this space for just over $5000 here.
Not much headway was made in our master bedroom, but we have big plans for this dream space!
So as you can see, a lot of progress was made for our One Year House anniversary, but we still have much to do!
Thank you so much for following along. Hopefully this encourages you to Don’t forget to follow so you don’t miss a post!
