Meet Dover Cliff – our Birmingham Home. Moving away from a home and area we loved was a challenge. Here’s how our family handled the challenges.
It took a lot to get to this place.
But something wonderful happened about a week before we were to move.
No more dread. No more sadness. The worry was gone.
It was an unexplainable peace that came suddenly. And we knew it could only come from Him.
That simple shift made this huge transition easier.
And it wasn’t just me or Trent.
What surprised us the most were the boys.
Here we were expecting a period of emotional upheaval and adjustment, but our sons surprised us.
We asked them to leave all they knew for the past 4 years – their comfortable home, their friends, their church.
And we never received one spiteful word or venomous retort.
They jumped right in – head first – and took the daring leap with us.
Now it has been a month and we are all adjusting wonderfully.
Actually, the rest of the family is faring a bit better than I am.
I don’t do well with disorder, so give me a few more weeks until a routine locks in and everything is in it’s place.
But now for the fun part! I posted a live walk through tour on Instagram a couple of weeks ago, and I thought what better way to share our home than with you all than a video walk thru!
On it, I answer questions posted from the live viewers as well as share our plans for this home.
So, have fun watching and if I’ve left anything out – be sure to ask me the questions below or share your decor suggestions. I’d love to hear your input!
