Everyone loves a perfectly timed compliment. And if you’re here, then I know you also love DIY inspiration. Here are some of my favorite Instagram DIYs from some awesome friends.
For me, nothing feels better than a sweet word of affirmation, especially when you’re in the midst the blue funk fog around your head.
When you’re looking around on the world wide web and your social media platforms and you find those pearls that knock you off your feet, those things that stop you in your scroll – you just gotta shout from the rooftops and share your finds with the world and hopefully bring joy to that person with an appropriate atta-girl!
Inspired by my friends and followers on Instagram, I created a fun new hashtag where everyone who links up a picture has a chance to be featured here on my blog, on my Instagram feed, as well as my Facebook and Pinterest page.
Here are a few of this week’s amazing shares!

Just take a look at these shelves! These are an awesome DIY from Carrie at A Carrie’d Affair Blog. It makes me want to rethink my open shelves. Indeed, those glass canisters have me swooning! Light, bright and open – farmhouse perfection!
Y’all know Cindy! She’s been in this blogging world for years (formerly Cottage Instincts) and now home at A Cottage Girl. Not only is her instagram feed filled with Aqua gorgeousness, she also has THE BEST instastories! I love this pic of her Weaber Lumber wood wall with their gray wallboards.
Next is a dear friend of mine. Cristen is one of the first people I had the honor of connecting with on Instagram and not only is her feed full of gorgeous decor, but she’s one of the sweetest gals I know! As a matter of fact, it was her painted hutch that stopped me in my scroll! Coupled with her collection of vintage crocks creates a stunning view.
Jen took an ordinary wood stick from Michaels and turned it into a distressed, chippy goodness! I adore her sweet Valentine’s vignette in her gorgeous Ikea terrarium. You must head to her feed to see her incredible photos!
Jen is one friend who’s decor styling always inspires me! She not only gives me #decorgoals, but also #momgoals! I loved how she took a family treasure with this hope chest and turned it into a creative corner in her kitchen!
Jess has an entryway of my dreams! I am on the hunt for a mini picket fence to turn into a fun coat rack like she did! In case you want some for yourself, Jessica also has an incredible online shop where she sells her handmade pillows, quilts, and buntings.
Wouldn’t you want to wind down each day pouring a glass from this gorgeous DIY wine rack? Jill has such a gorgeous home she showcases in her feed. Not only is she inspirational, but she’s launching Home Decor shop later this year!
Isn’t this sign the coolest? What I love about Kristen’s share is the timing of this post. It wasn’t just about the awesome, handpainted sign and DIY shelf. Consequently, her words she wrote were just he encouragement I needed that day! Kristen fills her blog with loads of DIY goodness.
“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.” Acts 16:25-26 WHO SINGS IN PRISON? WHO? I’m pretty sure Martha Stewart didn’t even sing in prison and she probably had the nicest cell in the world history of imprisonments. It’s easy to sing when things are going your way. But Paul and Silas were beaten with rods and thrown into a pitch black hole and yet they found the desire to sing praises unto their God. At a time when they should have been exhausted, petrified, and ashamed, Paul and Silas chose to sing so loud that the other prisoners could hear them. They chose to sing above the noise of the fear in their hearts and the anger in their flesh. To sing above the exhaustion in their broken bodies. They chose to sing so hard that the earth quaked. Have you ever sang so hard in the middle of your situation that it provoked God to break the chains that are holding you captive? Sing loud and sing hard. Sing strong, my friends. Heaven is listening and your earthquake is coming. #encouragemetoday #weeklywordsofwisdom #idiyedthat #thensingsmysoul #bible #dailyword #hymn #christian

There is one person I wish to go junkin’ with one day and that is Priscilla! She scores the best finds and sells then in her etsy shop. Most important, a portion of Priscilla’s sales goes toward cancer research. Something near and dear to my heart.
Afraid to commit to installing shiplap and wanting a way to achieve the look without the work? Why not paint the spacer lines on your walls instead? Susanna linked up a few of her DIYs for the hashtag, but this one was my favorite! Additionally, you can read all about how she DIYed this at her blog.
Weren’t these DIYs so awesome! And above all, did you find a few ideas that you want to try?
My favorite thing about this new hashtag is the designated Pinterest Feature board I created, where I will pin my favorites from each week! In fact, be sure to head over and see the amazing DIYs out there from a few non bloggers!
Lastly, I must thank everyone for linking up. Of course, I can’t wait to see what everyone shares this week! Want to find out how to share? Head over to my Instagram account to learn how or find more some inspiration from more Instagram DIYs.
