My sweet friends, Vicki and Jenn, from 2 Bees in a Pod put together this Come Home for Christmas blog hop – highlighting five different rooms – filled to the hilt with oodles of holiday inspiration! I am honored and beyond excited to be a part of this group of talented bloggers and of course have loved all the inspiration shared this week!

Farmhouse Christmas Kitchen

Last year, I decorated every corner of my kitchen, but this season called for something different.

Something simpler.

More intentional.

More focus on family and memory making. In fact, we’re even toning down the grandiosity of gifts this year. Following that call on our hearts meant reflecting that in our home.

If you saw my Simple Christmas Mantel I shared last week, then you know that I’m wanting to keep my holiday styling somewhat minimalistic this year. For my farmhouse Christmas kitchen, I started by framing the kitchen sink with two rustic mini trees with burlap wrapped bases.

This time of the year, my mixer gets a workout with all the holiday cooking. So next to my mixer, I set out a colorful holiday napkin and towel. I’ve had this tin Santa for years, but updated his scarf with an scrap piece of blue jean.

Now for my open kitchen shelving!

Lining up my vintage scales, I topped them my creamer collection. This handpainted wood sign is the perfect simple holiday touch!

I added a wreath adorned with a burlap bow to my pantry door.  And look at that cute coffee ornament dangling from my vintage telephone!

Since simplicity is the key, I kept with that same theme for my kitchen island.

I added a ticking stripe runner along with a wooden bowl filled with pine cones and green berries.

Meanwhile, over my stove sits another wreath together with a simple slate chalkboard sign.

Finally I updated my Thanksgiving Centerpiece to fit my Farmhouse Christmas Kitchen.  I perched it on the pass through to the dining room along with another colorful Christmas napkin.

  18. I used to have a pinecone theme in my family room many (like 25) years ago, so they were out all year long. A friend told me it reminded her of Christmas and at that time it hadn’t occured to me to dress the plain cones up for the holidays. NOW I get it however, and pull the plain cones out and do just like you did and I love the homey feeling the pinecones give any room.

  19. You have a beautiful space! I like how you decorated for winter rather than just Christmas stuff! 🙂
